DVD - The Complete Clouser Minnow
How to Tie and Fish the Clouser Minnow featuring Bob Clouser.
Back in the 1800's there were "tried and true" flies that every fisherman carried, so it seems rather amazing that the Clouser Minnow is a relatively new creation, barely 15 years old. What makes it a classic, is simplicity of design combined with versatile action and attraction, that can be easily adapted to any fishing situation or species of fish.
When Bob Clouser introduced the fly fishing world to his "Deep Minnow" pattern for smallmouth bass, he never dreamed that a decade later it would also be the world's most popular "saltwater" fly. If you're a fly fisherman, you've got a "Clouser" in your vest.
Topics include:
The evolution of the "Clouser Minnow"
Materials and tools needed for tying
Tying and fishing the basic "Clouser Minnow"
Tying with synthetic fibers
Building a "Rattling Clouser"
Building a "Wobble-Tail Clouser"
Adding weed guards
"If I had to choose only one fly to fish, for any species, anywhere in the world, it would be the Clouser Minnow"

TYING FLIES THAT CATCH FISH
with Lefty Kreh & Bob Clouser
Collectively, Lefty Kreh and Bob Clouser have at least 100 years of fly tying experience, which they've shared over the years in books and videos. One day I asked them what their favorite flies were, and the reply was simple; "the ones that catch fish!"
As we started compiling the list of flies for this DVD, both Bob and Lefty thought it should focus on salt water flies. When we saw the final list, we were all surprised. The flies on this DVD are all terrific salt water flies, however, every fly we show, if tied in different sizes and /or colors, can also be used in fresh water for a variety of species including Bass, Pike, Salmon, even Trout.
Included are:
Lefty's Bend Back
Bucktail Deceiver
Lefty's Deceiver
Hackle Fly
Popping Bug
Clouser Bend Back
Original Clouser Minnow
Maxi-Minnow
Boca Pailla Bonefish Fly

LEFTY KREH ON
FLY CASTING
You often hear people
talk about the "art" of fly casting,
and I think that's a good analogy. In my 50 years of fly fishing, I've
come up with some
pretty creative ways to make the line and the fly get to where the fish are.
That's the "art" of fly casting, but making the cast itself is really
based on some simple laws of physics that enable the rod and the fly line to
move the fly through the air. This is the "science" of fly casting.
In this DVD, I'll help you understand how the cast works, and provide you
with a number of specific aids and exercises to help you become a good fly
caster.
Then we'll go through a variety of casts that will help you in certain fishing
situations including:
Wind casts, Curve casts, Double-Hauling, Various Roll casts and many more.
As a special feature on the DVD, we've provided an optional 2nd angle of
viewing for most of the demonstrations. This allows the viewer to analyze
techniques
from both the side and behind the cast, fully demonstrating how the body
motion determines the motion of the rod and line.
I hope you enjoy it!

Lefty DVD length: 68 minutes.
